About

My name is Hannah Langdon

I wrote my first book, about a dalmatian, when I was eight years old and I haven’t put my pen down since, although life’s interventions have put up some stiff competition for my time and energy. I have loved romantic fiction since those early days of ‘Sweet Dreams’ novels and, with a good wind behind me, I can remember the names of all Jilly Cooper’s ‘book title’ heroines, although my favourite was always Harriet.

I live in London with my husband, John, and young daughter, Rose, both of whom also love books, although neither is exactly my target audience. Maybe one day I’ll write a novel about a Formula One driver who loves puppies. Maybe. When I’m not writing, I work as a teacher and Assistant Head in a small and unusually lovely school in south west London.

I joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association New Writers’ Scheme in 2020, graduated in 2023, and will always be grateful to them for their expert support and guidance as well as their championing of the genre.
